Sir Alan Parker is Chairman of Brunswick, which he founded in 1987 from his parent’s kitchen table. Since then, Brunswick has grown in to one of the leading corporate and financial PR companies in the World, with 23 offices in 14 countries and clients in over 50+ countries. Its service areas cover financial communications, M&A communications, investor engagement, regulatory and public affairs, geopolitical advisory, crisis and litigation communications, employee engagement, cybersecurity and the role of business in society. Brunswick advises over a quarter of the FTSE100 and, over the last twenty years, has consistently led league tables of advisers on M&A communications in the UK, EU, Asia and the US.
Sir Alan is Chairman of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences and was a trustee of The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust. He was the founder and Vice-Chairman of China Now, a nationwide festival in the UK in 2008 celebrating Chinese arts and culture designed to strengthen understanding and relationships between the UK and China. He was also Chairman of the reciprocal event, UK Now, held in China in 2012.
From January 2016 to April 2018 Alan was Chair of Save the Children International, the umbrella organisation for the Save the Children movement. He was previously Chair of Save the Children UK from 2008 to 2015. He is also Chairman of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences and was a trustee of The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust.
Sir Alan was knighted in 2014 for services to business, charitable giving and philanthropy.
