Helen Alderson

Helen Alderson has more than 30 years of experience in the humanitarian and public health sectors.

Helen currently serves on the Board of the Humanitarian Finance Forum and the Advisory Board of the University of Geneva’s Executive Programme in Strategic Philanthropy. She is also a Senior Research Associate with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI).

The largest part of her career has been dedicated to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) where she held leadership positions in Geneva, London, Tel Aviv, Kuwait, Bangkok and Manila. Her areas of work include humanitarian diplomacy, financing, protection, partnerships.

She has also served as CEO of the World Heart Federation and as senior ESG analyst for the Ethos Investment Foundation for Sustainable Development.

She is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
